Applications
Carbon Extrusion
Carbon Extrusion presses extrudes large cylindrical or rectangular, carbon blocks measuring from one to over three meters in length. The electrodes or cathodes made from these blocks have greater consistency, greater bulk density, lower specific electrical resistance, improved flexural strength, increased thermal conductivity, and lower coefficient of thermal expansion than achievable with other systems. These characteristics increase yield while lowering the cost of operation. This process ensures production of the highest quality electrodes and/or cathodes. High bulk density and low resistivity electrodes and cathodes are preferred since they reduce energy consumption and operating cost.
